Overview

Brock Miskimen brings years of experience in construction law, project development, and dispute resolution to his role as an owner’s representative and as a neutral party facilitator.

Before joining the private sector, Brock’s construction background began with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) where he was Chief Legal Counsel and involved with the construction and renovation of dams, lodges, cabins, and other infrastructure. As part of Brock’s role, he assisted ODNR with contracts and dispute resolutions associated with its construction projects.

Currently as an attorney in private practice, Brock focuses on construction law and advises owners throughout all phases of project delivery—from procuring design and construction teams to administering contracts and resolving disputes. His practice includes extensive experience with projects delivered under the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) model, particularly in negotiating Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals. Additionally, Brock has experience with the Design-Build (DB), General Contractor (GC), and Multiple Prime (MP) delivery models.

Both at his time at ODNR and in private practice, Brock has worked regularly with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) on both state projects and on co-funded school district projects to navigate complex construction and funding related issues.
